Patna: Traffic movement near the Rajendranagar Terminal Overbridge in Patna will be restricted on October 10 and 11 due to metro construction and road repair work. The trial diversion will affect one direction of traffic each day, requiring motorists to plan their journeys accordingly.
On Saturday, October 10, vehicles travelling from Bahadurpur towards Patna will be stopped on the affected lane. On Sunday, October 11, the restriction will apply to vehicles travelling from Patna towards Bahadurpur.
Lane Closures Planned For October 10 And 11
The trial diversion is intended to facilitate construction and repair work near the Rajendranagar Terminal Overbridge.
Motorists travelling through the area, including those near Vaishali Golambar, should check the latest traffic arrangements before setting out and allow additional time for their journeys.
Proposed Night-Time Closure Before Chhath
Authorities are also planning to close the overbridge at night for 10–12 consecutive days after Durga Puja and before Chhath.
Under the proposed arrangement, traffic movement would be suspended between 10pm and 6am. The plan is intended to provide time for major repair and construction-related work.
The proposed schedule and closure arrangements should be confirmed through official traffic advisories before motorists plan journeys during this period.
Road Repairs And Metro Construction Work
The planned night-time work will include road repairs beneath the bridge and operations related to the movement of the tunnel boring machine (TBM) used in metro construction.
Motorists who regularly use the route may need to take alternative roads during the restrictions. They should follow traffic police instructions and check for updated diversion information before travelling.
