Patna: Bihar is set to witness a significant boost in industrial and hospitality infrastructure after the Project Clearance Committee (PCC) of the Bihar Industrial Area Development Authority (BIADA) approved 23 new projects, including seven four- and five-star hotels in Patna.

The approved projects involve a proposed investment of approximately Rs 992.63 crore and are expected to generate direct employment for more than 3,146 people, according to officials.

Seven Premium Hotels Planned in Patna

Among the projects cleared by the PCC are seven four- and five-star hotels that will add to Patna’s hospitality infrastructure. The developments are expected to cater to the growing demand for quality accommodation in the state capital and support business and tourism activities.

The committee also approved 16 industrial units across multiple sectors.

Projects Across Diverse Sectors

The approvals were granted during a meeting chaired by Kundan Kumar, Secretary of the Department of Industries.

The projects span sectors including food processing, rice milling, garment manufacturing, steel roofing sheets, pre-engineered building (PEB) structures, incense sticks and cotton wick production, corrugated paper manufacturing, and other industrial activities.

A total of 31.78 acres of land has been allocated across various industrial areas to facilitate the establishment of these units.

Major Companies Receive Approval

Several prominent companies received approval for their proposed investments. These include Amul Dairy, Shiv Durga Agro, Moogie Foods Pvt. Ltd., MSQ Clothing LLP, Banka Industries, Honesty Automation Pvt. Ltd., Shri Ji Roofing, Siya Ram Food Industries, Jyoti Printing Works, Rajrani Textile, Om Mangalam, and Leafday Bakers Pvt. Ltd.

Officials said these investments are expected to strengthen Bihar’s manufacturing ecosystem and attract further industrial activity.

Units To Be Established Across Bihar

The approved projects will be established in industrial areas located in Fatuha, Baijnathpur, Goraul, Samastipur, Donar, Barari, Maranga, Muzaffarpur, Patliputra and Hajipur.

The government expects the new units to stimulate local economic activity, strengthen regional industrial clusters and create opportunities for both employment and self-employment.

Government Highlights Industrial Growth Push

According to Industries Minister Shreyasi Singh, the newly approved projects will provide fresh momentum to Bihar’s industrial and economic development.

Kundan Kumar said the state government is continuing efforts to promote balanced and inclusive industrial growth. He added that BIADA is ensuring transparent and timely land allocation for investors while improving infrastructure and extending policy support.

Officials said large investments, including the proposed Amul project and the new hospitality developments, are expected to contribute to Bihar’s broader industrial expansion strategy.
