Patna: Amrita Singh, a software engineer from Vishnupura village in Bihar’s Bihta block, has been awarded a gold medal by President Droupadi Murmu after securing the first position at the Central University of Andhra Pradesh.
Amrita topped the university while pursuing her studies in IT and Retail Management. She received the gold medal during the university’s convocation ceremony in recognition of her academic performance.

Amrita’s achievement has drawn praise across her native village and the wider Bihta region. Her academic success has been recognised as a significant milestone for the area, with residents describing it as an inspiration for young students, particularly girls from rural backgrounds.
