Patna: A student in Patna rushed to Gandhi Maidan police station on Tuesday after being threatened with death by a classmate at his coaching centre. The altercation took place at a private coaching institute on Exhibition Road, where the student had recently enrolled and started attending classes on July 1.
According to police, the dispute began when the student sat on an empty seat behind another student’s girlfriend. “How did you sit behind my girlfriend’s seat? Get up and don’t sit there,” the classmate reportedly said. The student agreed to move, but later, when he went to the toilet, the classmate threatened him again, saying he had three attempted murder cases against him and warning, “Get out, or I will kill you.”
Fearing for his life, the student, who lives in a rented house with his elder brother, ran to the nearby police station seeking protection. He told officers he felt safer at the station than returning to class. Police are investigating the matter.
