Patna to host sport climbing training course as part of Bihar’s push to promote athletics

Patna: The Bihar government is set to launch a sport climbing training course in Patna, starting on 25 September, as part of its ongoing efforts to promote sports and athletes across the state. The training will take place at the Patliputra Sports Complex, offering participants the opportunity to develop their skills in an Olympic sport.

Aspiring climbers will be required to register for the course by paying a fee of Rs 300. The course will cover both basic and advanced climbing techniques, alongside essential information on safety, equipment usage, and the rules and regulations of sport climbing. Expert trainers will also conduct practical sessions, providing hands-on experience to attendees. Participants are advised to bring climbing shoes and physical training shoes for the sessions.

The programme is open to both beginners and experienced climbers, offering an opportunity for those looking to sharpen their skills or learn new techniques. Registrations can be completed via a Google Form.
