Patna: Traffic movement in several parts of Patna will be regulated on August 10 for the Tiranga Yatra from JP Golambar to Kargil Chowk. The Patna Traffic Police has announced no-entry restrictions, diversions and special parking arrangements to manage traffic during the procession.
The traffic plan will come into effect from 7am and remain operational until the conclusion of the event. Emergency service vehicles will remain exempt from the restrictions.
No-Entry Between Dakbungalow And JP Golambar
The stretch between Dakbungalow Crossing and JP Golambar will be reserved for the motorcades of the Chief Minister and Deputy Chief Minister. General vehicles will not be allowed on this route during the event.
The traffic police has also introduced restrictions for goods-carrying and commercial vehicles on several roads around the procession route.
Restrictions For Goods And Commercial Vehicles
Goods vehicles will not be permitted to operate between Mithapur and Buddha Marg or from R-Block Golambar towards Income Tax Golambar.
Movement of goods vehicles towards Chiraiyatand and Goriyatoli will also be restricted. Commercial vehicles will not be allowed to enter Gandhi Maidan from the Exhibition Road side or from Goriyatoli during the event.
Autos From Patna Junction To Follow Diversion
Autos travelling from Patna Junction towards Gandhi Maidan will follow the diverted route through Dakbungalow Crossing, New Dakbungalow Road, Bhattacharya Mor and Exhibition Road.
For the return journey, autos will use the CDA Building Roundabout and Goriyatoli before reaching Patna Junction.
The diversion is intended to keep vehicles away from the main procession route.
City Buses And Patna City Autos To Take Alternative Routes
City buses operating from the Engineering College will travel towards Patna Junction through Gandhi Crossing, Machhuatoli, Dariyapur T-junction, Nala Road, Pirmuhani, CDA Building Roundabout and Goriyatoli.
The same route will be used for their return journey.
Autos and e-rickshaws coming from Patna City will travel through Musallahpur Hat and Bari Path towards Khazanchi Road. For the return journey, they will use Khazanchi Road and Ashok Rajpath towards Gaighat.
Parking Arrangements At Gandhi Maidan
Parking arrangements have been made at Gandhi Maidan for vehicles belonging to Tiranga Yatra participants.
Gates 1 and 13 have been designated for general public entry, while Gate 12 will be reserved for the Chief Minister’s entry.
Vehicles travelling north from Voltas Mor will be able to reach the Police Line T-junction through Vidyapati Marg and Buddha Marg.
Special Access For Tiranga Yatra Participants
The flank leading towards Gandhi Maidan from the roundabout beneath JP Ganga Path, opposite the Commissioner’s Office, will be accessible only to Tiranga Yatra participants.
The traffic police has advised commuters to avoid restricted roads during the procession and use the designated alternative routes.
The restrictions will remain in force until the Tiranga Yatra concludes, after which normal traffic arrangements are expected to resume.
