Patna Welcomes 2025 with Grand Celebrations, Fireworks, and Festive Cheer
Patna: Patna ushered in 2025 with vibrant celebrations across the city, as residents gathered at various venues to bid farewell to the old year and welcome the new. Key locations such as Gandhi Maidan and JP Ganga Path, popularly known as Marine Drive, became focal points for festivities, featuring live music, dance performances, and dazzling fireworks displays.
Hotels, clubs, and restaurants organized themed events to cater to the celebratory spirit. KL7 Hotel & Banquet hosted “Patna’s Biggest New Year Bash 2025,” offering a lineup that included a DJ night, live band performances, and a fashion show. The event also featured a bonfire, fireworks, and a variety of food stalls, creating a comprehensive entertainment experience for attendees.
Similarly, The Springs by AVR presented “Bollywood Bash 2025,” an event that combined Bollywood music with live performances, attracting a significant crowd.
Open-air cafes and the banks of the Ganga River transformed into lively party zones. The Patna Municipal Corporation organized ‘Sanjha Utsav,’ a five-day fair at Digha Ghat along the river, featuring handicraft stalls, food courts, and cultural performances. The fair concluded on New Year’s eve, drawing large crowds who enjoyed the festive atmosphere and live music.
To ensure public safety during the celebrations, the district administration implemented comprehensive security measures. Over 69 magistrates and police officers were stationed at 87 key locations, supported by armed forces and special mobile patrols. Quick Response Teams were deployed to manage any disruptions, with a particular focus on controlling biker gangs. Additionally, vehicular movement was restricted in certain areas to facilitate crowd management.
