Patna Women’s College Elects Student Council for 2024-25 Academic Year
Patna: The Student Council elections for the academic year 2024-25 were held at Patna Women’s College (PWC) on Saturday, marking an important event in the college’s calendar.
Shrishti Tiwari secured the position of Premier, while Mariyum Fatima was elected as Vice-Premier. Preeti Singh assumed the role of General Secretary, with Shreya Bhushan as Joint General Secretary. Other elected members included Srishti Singh as Cultural Secretary, Samridhi Kashyap as Sports Secretary, Stuti Singh as Environment & Discipline Secretary, and Sakshi as Joint General Secretary.
Dr. Sister M. Rashmi A.C., the Principal of PWC, inaugurated the proceedings by extending her best wishes to all candidates and stressing the significance of informed voting. Each nominee introduced themselves and outlined their respective platforms.
Dr. Vinita Priyedarshi, acting as the Nodal Officer for the Electoral Literacy Club and Head of the Department of Political Science, provided an overview of the electoral regulations governing the process. Following this, students cast their votes, leading to the announcement of the successful candidates.
