Patna: Patna Women’s College (PWC) has announced an extension of the application deadline for admissions to various undergraduate (UG), postgraduate (PG), and PG Diploma courses for the upcoming 2024 session. To date, the college has received over 3,000 applications for its diverse range of courses. Notable interest has been seen in fields such as Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning, Data Science and Analytics, and Fashion Designing, with over 150 applications received for each. In a significant departure from previous years, the college administration has opted to forego entrance examinations for UG and PG admissions. Dr. M Rashmi AC, Principal of the college, attributed this decision to the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. For the current admissions cycle, UG admissions will be based on the marks obtained in the 12th-grade examination, while PG admissions will be determined by undergraduate performance.
Additionally, Patna Women’s College has introduced several new courses for aspiring female students. These include B.Sc programs in Data Science and Analytics, Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning, as well as Bachelor’s programs in Fashion Designing and Commerce Professional. Comprehensive syllabi have been developed for all newly introduced courses.
