Patna: Patna Women’s College organised a Faculty Orientation Programme for its newly appointed teachers this academic session. The event was conducted by the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) to help the new faculty understand the college’s academic values and research-focused environment.
Dr Amrita Chowdhury, IQAC Coordinator, addressed the teachers and spoke about the importance of institutional ethics. She encouraged them to build a strong research culture and shared details about research publication and funding opportunities available for faculty members.
After a short hi-tea break, Mr Alok John, Dean of National and International Collaborations and Consultancy Services and Assistant IQAC Coordinator, led a session on “Enterprising Teaching.” He shared useful strategies to make teaching more innovative and effective. He also explained the college’s Code of Conduct and discussed the Prevention of Sexual Harassment (PoSH) policy to ensure everyone understands the importance of a safe workplace.
This orientation programme was organised to welcome the new teachers and help them settle into the college environment smoothly. It also aimed to support their professional growth as they begin their journey at Patna Women’s College.
