Patna: In a significant boost to student career prospects, Patna Women’s College, joined forces with the CIMAGE Group of Institutions to host a large-scale placement drive on Thursday. The event, held at the Mother Veronica Excellence and Innovation Centre, was designed to bridge the gap between academia and industry, offering students access to job opportunities in high-demand sectors.
The initiative was spearheaded by the college’s Placement and Career Counselling Cell and attracted a panel of seasoned recruiters including Dr Neeraj Agarwal, Director of the CIMAGE Group of Institutions, Megha Agarwal, Academic Coordinator, and Dr Neeraj Poddar, Dean at CIMAGE. Their presence underscored the drive’s focus on industry-aligned recruitment and talent discovery.
The event was coordinated by Prof Alok John, Dean of National and International Collaborations and Consultancy Services at the college. He was supported by a committed team from the Placement Core Committee: Dr Sumeet Ranjan (Department of Zoology), Mr Adweetiya Sinha (Department of Political Science), Mr Rajeev Ranjan (Department of Zoology), and Mr Gautam Saurabh (Department of Commerce).
Recruiters offered roles in a diverse range of emerging and established fields, including Artificial Intelligence, Internet of Things (IoT), ERP Development, Digital Marketing, HR, Finance, Academics, Research, Social Media Management, and Blogging. Salary packages ranged from Rs.25,000 to Rs.45,000 per month, with additional perks.
A total of 103 students took part in the drive, showcasing a blend of professionalism, preparation, and enthusiasm. The rigorous selection process involved multiple interview rounds, offering candidates a real-world recruitment experience and the chance to align their career ambitions with real-time opportunities.
The event was moderated by Mahrukh Firdaus, Premier of the Student Council (2025–26), and concluded with a Vote of Thanks from Nikita Anand, the Vice-Premier.
