Patna Women’s College Hosts Speech Competition Ahead of Independence Day
Patna: Ahead of the 78th Independence Day, the Department of History at Patna Women’s College held an Inter-Departmental Speech Competition on Tuesday for students in UG Semester V.
The event centered around the theme “My Vision of India,” encouraging students to articulate their aspirations for the nation. The competition saw the entire class divided into 11 groups, with each group nominating a representative to present their views. Participants were allowed to deliver their speeches in either English or Hindi.
Sumaira Wasi emerged as the winner of the competition, while Bushra Parveen and Saba Irshad secured the second position. The third prize was shared by Mariyum Fatima and Kumari Manisha. The event was judged by Swati and Pratibha Singh, both Assistant Professors in the Department of History. The judges praised the participants for their thoughtful contributions and congratulated the winners for their impressive performances.
The competition was meticulously organized under the guidance of Dr. Sister Celine Crasta A.C., Head of the Department of History, ensuring a well-coordinated and inspiring event.
