Patna: A youth from Patna has been missing since Sunday after his family found a suicide note and his mobile phone in his room, with the note alleging that company officials were responsible for the distress he was facing.
Ashu, a resident of Kidwaipuri under the Buddha Colony police station area, was reported missing by his family. Based on their complaint, police registered a case and began investigating his disappearance.
Suicide Note Recovered From Room
During a search of Ashu’s room, his family and police recovered his mobile phone and the suicide note. In the note, Ashu referred to a romantic relationship and asked his brother to inform the girl about the incident.
He also wrote about his family, asking his brother to take care of their parents and urging his father to stop drinking alcohol. The note ended with a message expressing his love for his mother.
Allegations Against Company Officials
Ashu’s note also named three company officials — Pinky Devi, Branch Manager Satya Prakash and State Head Rakesh Kumar — whom he held responsible for his situation and stated that he was ending his life because of them.
According to Ashu’s brother, he had joined a company in Hajipur around 15 days before he went missing. The family said he had been under considerable mental stress since starting the job.
Police Begin Investigation
Police are examining the circumstances surrounding Ashu’s disappearance, including the allegations made in the note and the statements provided by his family.
Investigators are also expected to verify Ashu’s employment, his interactions with the named officials and the events preceding his disappearance. The allegations in the suicide note have not been independently established.
