Patna: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate and lay the foundation stone of development projects worth Rs 7,217 crore in Motihari on July 18, 2025, Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary said on Wednesday.
PM Modi, who will visit Bihar for the 53rd time, will lay the foundation stone for doubling the railway line between Darbhanga and Narkatiaganj, upgradation of the traction system in the Bhatni-Chhapra rural section, and automatic signalling on the same route. Maintenance infrastructure for Vande Bharat trains will be built in Patliputra.
He will also lay the foundation stone for the four-lane Ara bypass (Asni to Bawanpali) of NH-319. The Prime Minister will inaugurate four lanes of the Paraiya (Bodh Gaya) to Mohania (Kaimur) section of NH-319, improvement of two lanes with paved shoulder of Sarwan-Chakai on NH-3330 (total length 15.972 km), and widening and strengthening of two lanes with paved shoulder of NH-81 in Katihar district, along with other projects.
Samrat said PM Modi and Chief Minister Nitish Kumar have taken Bihar to new heights of development and that Modi’s visits have energised rapid infrastructural growth in the state.
