PM Modi’s Intense Focus on Bihar, Will Visit Nawada on Sunday; Eyes Victory in All 40 Lok Sabha Seats

PM Modi in Jamui

Patna: In the high-stakes battleground of the Lok Sabha elections, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has intensified his efforts to secure victory in every constituency of Bihar. Demonstrating his unwavering commitment to the electoral cause, Modi is set to embark on his second visit to Nawada within a span of just 72 hours, underscoring the pivotal role of the region in the BJP’s electoral strategy.

Earlier this month, on April 4, Modi had graced Jamui with his presence, rallying support for the BJP’s electoral agenda. Now, on Sunday, the Prime Minister’s itinerary brings him back to Nawada, where he will endeavor to garner assurance for the victory of BJP candidate Vivek Thakur. From the vantage point of Kunti Nagar Sabha venue in Nawada city, Modi will implore voters from the three Lok Sabha constituencies of the first phase to rally behind the NDA candidates, including those from Aurangabad and Gaya parliamentary constituencies.

Modi’s significance in Nawada’s electoral landscape transcends mere symbolism. Notably, the Prime Minister’s appeal had previously swung the tide in favor of Giriraj Singh, the BJP candidate in the 2014 elections, who currently serves as the Rural Development and Panchayati Raj Minister. Modi’s reentry into the parliamentary constituency after a decade underscores the strategic importance accorded to the region by the BJP leadership.

Delving into the intricate electoral dynamics of Nawada, it becomes evident that the contest is poised to be triangular in nature. With four out of six assembly constituencies under the sway of the opposition, the BJP faces a formidable challenge in securing victory. The formidable contenders in the fray include Shravan Kushwaha from RJD and independent candidate RJD rebel Vinod Kumar Yadav, adding further complexity to the electoral equation.

RJD chief Lalu Yadav’s recalibration of electoral strategy, marked by an outreach to the Kushwaha community, signifies a departure from the traditional MY (Muslim-Yadav) equation. As BJP State President and Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary and RLSP chief Upendra Kushwaha navigate the intricacies of the electoral battlefield, the onus lies on them to mobilize support and secure crucial votes.

Reflecting on Nawada’s political legacy, a lineage of illustrious MPs emerges, including luminaries such as Giriraj Singh and Chandan Singh. With NDA stalwarts set to grace the stage alongside Modi, including Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, RLSP chief Upendra Kushwaha, and LJP chief Chirag Paswan, the rally assumes heightened significance in the broader electoral narrative.

As the battle for Bihar’s 40 Lok Sabha seats rages on, Modi’s relentless pursuit of victory underscores the BJP’s unwavering resolve and formidable electoral machinery.
