PMCH Celebrates 100 Years: President Murmu to Inaugurate Grand Centenary Event in Patna Today

Patna: Patna Medical College (PMCH) marks its centenary today, having been established in 1925. The milestone is being celebrated with a grand event, inaugurated by President Droupadi Murmu.
The program is being held at Bapu Sabhagar from 12.15 pm to 1.15 pm. Several prominent leaders are attending, including Union Health Minister JP Nadda, Bihar Governor Arif Mohammad Khan, Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, Deputy Chief Ministers Samrat Chaudhary and Vijay Kumar Sinha, and Health Minister Mangal Pandey. MP Ravi Shankar Prasad is also present.
The event also features renowned medical professionals, including Padma awardees Dr. CP Thakur, Dr. SN Arya, Dr. Gopal Prasad Sinha, Dr. Vijay Prakash, and Dr. Shanti Rai. A large number of alumni from across India and abroad have gathered, making it the biggest reunion in the institution’s history.
PMCH has a legacy of hosting distinguished personalities. The Golden Jubilee in 1975 was attended by then President Neelam Sanjiva Reddy, while the Platinum Jubilee in 2000 saw the presence of then President APJ Abdul Kalam. Now, a century after its establishment, the institution continues to be a pillar of medical education in the country.
