Patna: A multi-level parking facility will be constructed near Kangan Ghat to accommodate visitors to Takht Shri Harimandir Sahib Gurudwara at Patna City. The road leading to the gurdwara will also be widened. These developments were announced by Development Commissioner Pratyaya Amrit during an inspection of the Kangan Ghat and Takht Shri Harimandir Sahib area on Friday.
The multi-level parking is designed to accommodate 450 cars and will be equipped with solar panels on the roof, providing sustainable energy for the building. Once completed, the parking facility is expected to alleviate traffic congestion on Kangan Ghat Marg and Chowk Thana Mor by eliminating illegal parking.
Furthermore, the tourism information center at the main gate of Takht Shri Harimandir Patna Sahib will be expanded. This center will provide visitors with information about the upcoming light beam installation, a 125-foot-tall Nishan Sahib in the shape of a bracelet planned for Kangan Ghat.
