Prashant Kishor Announces Statewide Yatra After Jan Suraaj’s Patna Rally Disrupted by Traffic Chaos

Patna: Jan Suraaj party founder Prashant Kishor on Friday announced that he would embark on a statewide yatra in 10 days to meet party workers and supporters, after thousands were unable to attend his “Bihar Badlav” rally at Gandhi Maidan due to massive traffic snarls at key entry points into Patna.
Addressing the crowd around 6pm — nearly four hours later than scheduled — Kishor said he had spent the past two hours on the streets attempting to facilitate the movement of supporters stuck en route from various districts.
Blaming the Nitish Kumar-led state government and Patna district administration for the chaos, he alleged that despite advance intimation about the scale of participation and vehicle movement, authorities failed to make adequate logistical arrangements. Major routes such as JP Setu and Mahatma Gandhi Setu reportedly witnessed prolonged gridlocks, leaving many stranded.
Kishor accused the government of deliberately obstructing Jan Suraaj supporters from reaching the venue, calling it a “systematic attempt” to suppress political mobilisation. He appealed to supporters to “wipe out” both the current administration and the prevailing bureaucratic structure in the state.
The yatra, he said, would serve as a renewed push for his political movement, aimed at rallying grassroots support and building momentum ahead of upcoming elections.Top of Form
