Patna: A property dealer named Amit Kumar was shot dead near the biscuit factory in Dwarika Apartment, located in the Phulwarisharif police station area of Patna on Thursday. The incident occurred when bike-borne criminals opened fire on Amit while he was leaving his home for the market. Local residents immediately rushed him to a nearby nursing home, but he succumbed to his injuries during treatment.
The police have recovered a magazine and two bullet shells from the scene, although locals reported hearing 8 to 9 rounds fired. The body has been sent to Patna AIIMS for postmortem, and an investigation has been initiated. Phulwarisharif SDPO Sushil Kumar stated that the FSL team is examining the site for technical evidence.
According to eyewitnesses, Amit was attacked as soon as he stepped out of his apartment. The assailants, after firing multiple rounds, fled the scene on their bike while brandishing weapons. Amit Kumar, a resident of Dwarika Apartment, was known to work as a property dealer in the area.
