Railway Board Chairman Reviews Safety Measures Across Indian Railways

New Delhi/ Patna: The safety aspects of Indian Railways were comprehensively reviewed on Tuesday in a high-level meeting chaired by Satish Kumar, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of the Railway Board. Conducted via video conferencing, the meeting was attended by members of the Railway Board, General Managers of Zonal Railways, departmental heads, and Divisional Railway Managers from across the country.
Discussions focused on key safety concerns, including automatic signaling, working hours of line staff, yard remodeling and infrastructure, and disaster management preparedness. Emphasizing the need for stringent safety measures, Kumar directed officials to conduct regular safety drives to enhance operational security. The progress of ongoing station redevelopment projects was also reviewed.
Chhatrasal Singh, General Manager of East Central Railway, participated in the meeting along with department heads from the zonal headquarters. Divisional Railway Managers and senior officials from all five divisions of East Central Railway also joined the discussions remotely.
