Patna: Light to moderate rainfall, ranging from 10-30 mm, is expected across parts of West and Central Bihar between March 20 and March 23, according to the latest forecast. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has also warned of thunderstorms with lightning at isolated locations in East and Central Bihar on March 21 and 22.
In addition, hailstorms accompanied by thunder are likely in parts of Bhabua, Rohtas, Arwal, Jehanabad, Aurangabad, Jamui, Banka, and Gaya districts. Strong surface winds, with speeds of 30-40 km/h and occasional gusts, are expected in the south-east and south-central regions of the state during this period.
Farmers have been advised to take preventive measures to protect their harvested and stored Kharif and Rabi crops from moisture and potential damage. Authorities have urged them to secure their produce in safe storage areas and take necessary precautions against hailstorms in vulnerable districts.
