Rajgir: Rajgir, one of Bihar’s fastest-growing tourist destinations, is preparing to welcome visitors into the prehistoric world with a massive new Dino Park currently under construction near the famous Nature Safari area. The project, being developed at a cost of nearly Rs 20 crore by the Nalanda Forest Division, is expected to become one of the most exciting attractions in the state. After the success of the Glass Skywalk, Suspension Bridge, Zip Line and Wildlife Safari, officials now hope the dinosaur-themed park will attract even more tourists to Rajgir from across the country.
The upcoming park will feature giant animatronic dinosaurs designed with artificial intelligence and robotics technology. These dinosaurs will not remain still like ordinary statues. Instead, they will blink their eyes, move their heads, open their mouths and produce roaring sounds, giving visitors the feeling of standing among real prehistoric creatures. Officials say the park will display dinosaurs from the Triassic, Jurassic and Cretaceous periods, covering millions of years of Earth’s history in one location.
According to Rajkumar M, Divisional Forest Officer of the Nalanda Forest Division, 33 different types of dinosaur robots will be installed during the first phase of the project. The contract for construction has been given to Kumar Heights Construction Private Limited. The dinosaur models will be imported from abroad and assembled in West Bengal under the supervision of expert engineers and technical teams. Their outer skin and inner iron framework are being specially designed to create realistic movements and appearances.
The technology being used in the park is based on animatronics, a combination of robotics, mechanical engineering and computer programming. This same technology has been used in famous dinosaur theme parks and films around the world, including the Jurassic Park series. Forest officials believe the realistic movement and sounds of the dinosaurs will make the Rajgir park a unique experience for both children and adults.
Apart from the dinosaur displays, the park will also include a 3D theatre where visitors can learn about the origin, evolution and extinction of dinosaurs. The theatre will present the story of how dinosaurs lived on Earth millions of years ago and how different species developed over time. Officials say the experience is being planned in a way that feels like a journey through time, taking visitors from the early dinosaur age to the final days before their extinction.
The Forest Department has said that environmental protection is also being given importance during construction. Authorities claim that the natural ecosystem and biodiversity of the surrounding forest area will be protected while developing the tourism project. Officials believe the Dino Park will not only strengthen tourism in Rajgir but will also create awareness about nature, wildlife and scientific history among visitors.
With life-sized dinosaurs, advanced technology and educational attractions, the upcoming Dino Park is expected to give Rajgir a completely new identity in India’s tourism sector. Authorities say the project could soon become one of the biggest crowd-pullers in Bihar and add another major attraction to the historic town known for its natural beauty and cultural importance.
