Nalanda: Tourists visiting Rajgir on New Year’s Day will have limited access to attractions as the administration has decided to close the Nature Safari and Zoo Safari to manage crowds. The decision to close the popular wildlife attractions was taken for security reasons, according to the director of the Zoo Safari. The closures are aimed at mitigating the risks associated with large crowds that typically gather at these sites during the holiday season.
While the Nature Safari and Zoo Safari will be off-limits, tourists can still enjoy a range of other attractions. Major tourist sites such as Venu Van, Vishwa Shanti Stupa, Pandu Pokhar, Rajgir Kund, and the historic Nalanda ruins will remain open for visitors.
The Rajgir Zoo Safari is renowned for its unique approach, allowing tourists to observe wildlife in open enclosures from the safety of their vehicles. The safari provides a glimpse into the natural habitats of various animals, including lions, tigers, deer, and bears. The Nature Safari offers a diverse range of thrilling activities, such as a glass bridge, a suspension bridge, zip lines, archery, and rifle shooting. Rajgir, located approximately 110 kilometers from Patna, has seen significant improvements in its tourist infrastructure in recent years. Visitors can reach the destination by road or rail, and enjoy local horse carriage rides during their stay. All tourist attractions in Rajgir will operate normally until December 31.
