Patna: Renault has unveiled the 2025 model of its sub-4 metre SUV Kiger in India, with prices starting at Rs 6.29 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi) for the base Authentic variant. The top-of-the-line turbo-petrol Emotion variant is priced at Rs 11.29 lakh. The updated model is positioned to compete with rivals such as the Hyundai Venue, Kia Sonet, Maruti Brezza, Nissan Magnite, Maruti Fronx, and Toyota Taisor.
Variants and pricing
The 2025 Kiger is now offered in four variants: Authentic (Rs 6.29 lakh), Evolution (Rs 7.09 lakh), Techno (Rs 8.9 lakh), and Emotion (Rs 9.14 lakh). The turbo-petrol version is available from the Techno trim onwards, with prices ranging from Rs 9.99 lakh to Rs 11.29 lakh. These introductory prices will remain valid through the festive season.
Design and exterior updates
The new Kiger features subtle but noticeable design changes, including a redesigned front bumper with LED headlamps and fog lamps, 16-inch alloy wheels, and minor rear updates. A new colour option, Oasis Yellow, adds a vibrant touch to the SUV’s palette.
Interior and features
Renault has enhanced the cabin to offer a more premium experience, introducing a new dashboard layout and an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. The interior is available in Noir and Cool Grey themes and, for the first time, ventilated front seats—a feature absent in the Nissan Magnite. Other amenities include a multi-view camera, auto headlamps, and automatic wipers.
Safety
Safety has been a major focus for the 2025 Kiger. Six airbags come standard across all variants, alongside 21 advanced safety features such as hill hold assist and a tyre pressure monitoring system.
Performance and engine options
The SUV retains its existing engine lineup. The 1.0-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine produces 71bhp and 96Nm of torque, available with a 5-speed manual or AMT. The 1.0-litre turbo-petrol engine delivers 98bhp and 160Nm of torque, with 5-speed manual and CVT options. A CNG variant, paired only with the non-turbo engine and 5-speed manual, is also offered.
