Republic Day Preparations at Gandhi Maidan Patna to Begin January 5
Patna: Preparations for the Republic Day celebrations at Gandhi Maidan will commence on January 5. Divisional Commissioner Mayank Warvade has instructed all departmental officers to work in coordination to ensure seamless arrangements for the event.
Security and law and order responsibilities have been assigned to the DM and SSP. The display of tableaux will be supervised by the Sub-Divisional Magistrate of Nazarat under the leadership of Deputy Development Commissioner and the District Public Relations Officer, with the height of the tableaux capped at 15 feet.
The building construction department has been tasked with obtaining map approval from the DM and SSP, ensuring proper barricading, leveling the ground, repairing entry gates, and carrying out brick pitching on the tableau routes as required.
In a meeting to finalize arrangements, DM Chandrashekhar Singh, SSP Rajiv Mishra, and Deputy Development Commissioner Sameer Saurabh discussed measures for security, traffic regulation, and logistical support.
The officials emphasized timely completion of all preparations to facilitate a grand and smooth celebration at Gandhi Maidan.
Departments have been asked to coordinate closely and address any challenges promptly to uphold the success of the Republic Day event.
