The Rajgir ropeway has resumed operations after an eight-day maintenance break, bringing relief to tourists and boosting local tourism ahead of the summer holidays.

Nalanda / Patna : The iconic Rajgir ropeway, a major attraction for tourists visiting the region, has resumed operations today after an eight-day maintenance break. The service, which was temporarily closed from 9 April for technical checks, is now fully operational, much to the delight of tourists and local businesses alike.

The ropeway, one of the oldest in India, offers visitors an exhilarating aerial journey through the picturesque hills of Rajgir. It provides access to key sightseeing spots, including the Vishwa Shanti Stupa, a symbol of peace and a popular tourist destination. This cable car ride offers breathtaking views of the surrounding natural beauty, making it a sought-after experience for both domestic and international tourists.

Deepak Kumar, the manager of the ropeway service, confirmed that the resumption of operations was made possible after all necessary repairs and safety checks were completed. “We have taken all precautions to ensure the safety and convenience of the passengers,” Kumar said. Extensive preparations have been made, including rigorous security checks, efficient ticketing, and careful monitoring of the ropeway’s operation.

Local hoteliers, shopkeepers, and tour guides expressed their relief and excitement as the resumption of the ropeway service is expected to boost tourism in the area, especially during the summer holidays. The closure had temporarily disrupted the flow of visitors, but with the ropeway now up and running, tourists can once again enjoy the serene and scenic journey through the lush green valleys and the historical Buddhist sites of Rajgir.
