Sahitya Maha Kumbh to be Held in Begusarai on February 9, 108 Poets to Participate

Begusarai: The much-awaited Sahitya Maha Kumbh will be organized in Begusarai on February 9, bringing together 108 poets from 23 districts of Bihar on a single stage. The event will also feature 10-12 renowned poets who have earned recognition at the national and international levels.

Preparations for the literary extravaganza are in full swing. Addressing a press conference, senior litterateur Shekhar Sawant extended an invitation to the people of Begusarai, urging them to participate and make the event a grand success. “This will be a unique and extraordinary event, featuring poets of all genres, including Ojas, Hasya, and Prem Rasa,” he said.

Organizing committee secretary and poet Prakash Kumar highlighted that this is the first time an event of such magnitude is being organized in Begusarai. “Social workers across Begusarai are extending their full support for the event. Poets representing Hindi, Angika, Maithili, Bhojpuri, and Sanskrit languages will grace the stage,” he added.

Program coordinator Rana Kumar Singh announced that around two dozen young poets from Begusarai will also get an opportunity to showcase their talent.

The primary objective of Sahitya Maha Kumbh is to provide talented young litterateurs of Begusarai a platform to gain recognition at the state and national levels.

Several well-known poets are set to participate in the event, including:

  • Omkar Kashyap (National-level Ojas poet)
  • Alpana Anand (Famous for Wah Ji Wah)
  • Aamir Hamza (Comedy)
  • Nagendra Mani, Sagar Anand (Ghazal Singer), Navneet Krishna
  • Kamran Alvi, Utpal Bhardwaj (Ojas poet)
  • Nilesh Kapoor, Avinash Pandey (Sanskrit poet)

At the press conference, poets Sujit Kumar (Bhagalpur) and Harishankar Kumar (Patna) were also present.

To ensure the smooth execution of the event:

  • Sundaram Samudra has been appointed as the treasurer.
  • Dr. Pankaj Kumar Singh and poetess Ranjana Singh Angwani will serve as patrons.
  • Ajit Jha Sanjeet and Abhilash Jha have been given the responsibility of inviting poets.
