New Delhi/Patna : Steel Authority of India Limited’s (SAIL) Rourkela Steel Plant (RSP) has announced recruitment for 1,110 apprentice positions, offering opportunities to ITI-qualified candidates, diploma holders and engineering graduates. According to the official notification, selected candidates will undergo one year of apprenticeship training.
The vacancies are spread across Trade Apprentice, Diploma Apprentice and Graduate Apprentice categories. Selection will be based on walk-in interviews, with candidates required to meet the prescribed educational qualifications and age criteria.
Vacancy Breakdown
According to SAIL, the recruitment includes a total of 1,110 apprentice posts, distributed as follows:
Trade Apprentice: 421 posts
Diploma (Technician) Apprentice: 414 posts
Graduate (Technician) Apprentice: 275 posts
Who Can Apply?
For Trade Apprentice positions, candidates must have passed ITI in the relevant trade from a recognised institute.
Applicants for Graduate Apprentice posts should hold an engineering degree in the relevant discipline, while Diploma Apprentice candidates must possess a diploma in engineering in the concerned branch.

Age Limit
Applicants must be 18 to 28 years of age as of August 31, 2026.
According to the notification, candidates belonging to reserved categories will be eligible for age relaxation in accordance with government norms.
Selection Process

Monthly Stipend
Selected candidates will receive a monthly stipend during the apprenticeship period:
