Say No to Drugs and Dowry: Khan Sir Inspires Thousands in Bihar

At a large event in Motihari, Khan Sir urged students to avoid drugs and suggested pink number plates for bikes received in dowry.

Motihari: Famous teacher Khan Sir from Patna spoke to thousands of students at an awareness event in Rajabazar’s Bapu Auditorium, Motihari. The programme was organised to raise awareness about drug addiction and social issues. Khan Sir received a warm welcome, with flowers being showered on him from a JCB machine. The auditorium echoed with loud applause as he began his speech.

Khan Sir warned students that drug addiction is one of the biggest threats to society today. He told young people to stay away from drugs and also avoid friends who try to introduce them to such harmful habits. He reminded them that parents make many sacrifices to educate their children and that it’s important not to waste that chance.

While speaking about the dowry system, Khan Sir gave a unique idea. He said that bikes received in dowry should have a pink number plate. This, he said, would show clearly that the bike was not bought by the groom or his father, but was given by the bride’s family. The idea was meant to make people think and reduce the shame or silence around dowry.

He also spoke about mobile phone addiction. He said that many young people waste time watching reels on social media late into the night. Khan Sir added that earlier the British ruled India from afar, and now people are letting mobile phones control them. He also talked about the need to improve the education system and suggested that teachers should have a university of their own. The event ended with students and teachers taking a pledge to fight against drug use and dowry.
