Security and Punctuality in Focus as East Central Railway Discusses Future Strategies
HAJIPUR: Director-General Anil Kumar Khandelwal organized a high-level meeting at the headquarters in Hajipur today. The meeting focused on a comprehensive review of achievements and future plans of the East Central Railway, covering various areas such as smooth rail operations, security, passenger facilities/safety, and railway development projects.
Present at the meeting were Deputy Director-General Tarun Prakash, Heads of Departments at the headquarters, and Divisional Railway Managers from Sonpur, Samastipur, Danapur, Pandit Deen Dayal Upadhyay, and Dhanbad Mandal.
During the meeting, the Director-General, along with department heads and divisional managers, extensively discussed crucial issues related to passenger facilities, security, and more. Each Mandal presented their achievements and ongoing projects through a PowerPoint presentation, updating the Director-General on their progress and meeting set targets within specified timelines.
Addressing the officials, the Director-General encouraged innovation and urged them to work with a fresh perspective, emphasizing a shift from conventional thinking to achieve better results in every sector. Particularly, he stressed the use of new technology in the monitoring of existing projects and the implementation of new initiatives within the East Central Railway.
Highlighting the importance of security, the Director-General stated that railway operations rely on adherence to safety regulations. He emphasized that there should be no compromise in any form regarding railway safety. He acknowledged the advancements in railway technology and advocated the use of modern safety equipment to eliminate human errors in railway operations.
While addressing punctuality in train operations, the Director-General expressed the need for further improvements and emphasized the importance of maintaining cleanliness on platforms, railway premises, trains, and bedrolls. He issued specific directives to high-ranking officials regarding cleanliness measures.
