Patna: Selection trials for forming the Bihar team for the 46th Senior National Women and Men Softball Championship, scheduled from February 22 to 26, 2025, in Nagpur, Maharashtra, will be held on January 2 and 3 at the Manoj Kamaliya Stadium ground in Patna City. The trials will commence at 9:30 am, as informed by Gautam Kanodia, President of the Softball Association of Bihar.
Rupak Kumar, Joint Secretary of the Association, announced that a training camp would follow the selection trials, after which the final team would be announced. The trials will be overseen by selectors Randhir Yadav, Saurav Raj, and Aditya Kumar, while the training camp will be conducted under the guidance of former national players Randhir Kumar and Rajesh Kumar.
Players appearing for the trials are required to bring their Aadhar card, birth certificate, two photographs, and an approved letter on the letterhead of their respective districts. Anish Kumar will act as the coordinator for the selection process.
The championship aims to showcase the best talent from Bihar in the upcoming national competition, and the association is committed to ensuring a fair and efficient selection process.
