Shivraj Singh Chouhan Reviews PM Modi’s April 24 Bihar Visit, Massive Rally Planned In Madhubani

Patna: A review meeting chaired by Union Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan was held in Patna on Saturday to finalise preparations for Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to Bihar on April 24. The visit, which coincides with National Panchayat Day, will include a mega public rally in Madhubani and the launch of several key development projects.
Senior NDA leaders, including Union Panchayati Raj Minister Rajiv Ranjan Singh alias Lallan Singh, JD(U) national executive president Sanjay Jha, BJP state president Dilip Jaiswal, and Deputy Chief Ministers Samrat Choudhary and Vijay Kumar Sinha, attended the coordination meeting alongside representatives of alliance partners.
Shivraj said NDA MLAs and MPs from 10 districts have been tasked with ensuring a record-breaking turnout for the Madhubani rally. “Prime Minister Modi will travel from the helipad to the rally ground in an open jeep. The target is to bring in three times more people than the Bhagalpur rally,” he said. “We must make this a historic event.”
The prime minister will also address the National Panchayat Day programme, which is being hosted in Bihar this year. Panchayati Raj representatives from across the state are expected to participate. On the occasion, PM Modi will inaugurate and lay the foundation stones of development schemes worth thousands of crores, focused on strengthening rural governance and infrastructure.
Sources indicate the prime minister may also inaugurate the new terminal building of Patna airport and lay the foundation stone of the upcoming Bihta airport on the same day.
During his previous Bihar visit in March, PM Modi transferred Rs 22,000 crore to 9.80 crore farmers across the country under the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana from Bhagalpur. This included Rs 1,600 crore for 76 lakh farmers in Bihar.
