Patna: Bihar Industries Minister Shreyasi Singh on Monday chaired a high-level departmental review meeting to assess the progress of industrial development initiatives, investment promotion measures and infrastructure-related schemes in Bihar.
Senior officials of the Industries Department, including Secretary Kundan Kumar, attended the meeting.
Focus On Industrial Infrastructure And Investment Promotion
During the review, officials discussed:
- progress of ongoing departmental schemes
- industrial infrastructure development
- investment promotion strategies
- implementation status of key initiatives
The minister issued directions aimed at improving coordination and ensuring timely execution of projects linked to industrial growth.
According to officials, the meeting also examined ways to strengthen Bihar’s industry-friendly environment and improve facilities available to entrepreneurs and investors.
State Government Seeking To Expand Industrial Ecosystem
Minister Shreyasi Singh said the state government was continuing efforts to promote industries and attract investment into Bihar.
She added that the department was working towards:
- creating a better industrial ecosystem
- simplifying processes for investors
- accelerating industrial expansion
- encouraging employment generation
Officials said discussions during the meeting focused on improving implementation mechanisms and ensuring that industrial development schemes translated into economic activity and job creation.
The review comes amid a broader push by the Bihar government to position the state as an emerging destination for manufacturing, infrastructure and industrial investment.
