Sitamarhi/Patna: A purported video from a government model school in Nanpur block of Sitamarhi district has surfaced on social media, allegedly showing a stage programme featuring women dancers during a Ganesh Puja event on the school premises.

The video, which has triggered discussion on social media, allegedly shows a large gathering around a stage set up inside the premises of Saraswati Vidya Niketan-cum-Model High School in Raipur.

The video has not been independently verified, and the complete circumstances surrounding the event remain unclear.

Women Dancers Allegedly Perform During School Event

According to the report accompanying the video, a fair and cultural programme was organised on the school premises during Ganesh Puja.

During the event, women dancers allegedly performed on a stage in front of a gathering. Questions have also been raised on social media over some of the songs reportedly played during the programme.

The footage appears to show a significant crowd gathered around the stage while the programme is underway.

CM Samrat Chaudhary’s Photograph Seen in Viral Footage

Another aspect of the video that has drawn attention is a photograph of Bihar Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary visible on one side of the stage.

The presence of the photograph alongside the reported dance programme has further fuelled discussion about the nature of the event and the arrangements made at the school premises.

However, the footage alone does not establish who organised the programme, who approved it or the purpose for which the stage was set up.

Questions Over Permission and School Premises

The reported event has raised questions about the use of a school campus for public cultural programmes.

Among the questions being raised are whether permission was obtained from the school administration or the concerned authorities before the event and who was responsible for organising and supervising the programme.

Questions have also been raised over whether the programme complied with the rules and guidelines applicable to the use of educational institution premises.

Video Verification and Official Response Awaited

The viral footage has not been independently verified, while details about the full event and its organisers remain unclear.

There is also no confirmed information at present about any official inquiry or disciplinary action by the education department or school administration.

A formal inquiry, if ordered, would be required to establish when and under what circumstances the event was organised, who granted permission and whether any applicable rules were violated.

Education Department Yet to Confirm Action

As of now, no clear official statement regarding an investigation or action in connection with the viral video has been reported.

The matter is likely to remain under scrutiny if authorities take cognisance of the footage. Any official investigation could also determine the authenticity and context of the video before responsibility is fixed.

The consignment was allegedly being transported from Uttar Pradesh to West Bengal in a DCM truck, with the bottles concealed beneath sacks of flattened rice. The department arrested the driver, Premnarayan Vishwakarma, and co-driver Govind Vishwakarma, both residents of Jhansi, Uttar Pradesh.

Officials are questioning the accused and investigating the suspected smuggling network.
