SPIC MACAY Brings Indian Classical Music to Life at Patna Women’s College

Patna: Patna Women’s College hosted an Indian classical music recital in collaboration with SPIC MACAY, offering students an immersive experience in the rich traditions of melody and rhythm.
The event featured an enthralling flute recital by Pt Nityanand Haldipur, who performed Raag Ahir Bhairav, accompanied on the tabla by Pt Arvind Kumar Azad. The duo also presented Raag Gara, captivating the audience with their mastery and expression.
Students engaged enthusiastically, demonstrating a deep appreciation for classical music and its cultural significance. The recital provided an opportunity to connect with India’s musical heritage, inspiring a renewed interest in traditional art forms.
The event was coordinated by Mona Kumari, coordinator of the SPIC MACAY Heritage Club, alongside Dr Sumeet Ranjan and Dr Rajeev Ranjan, assistant professors in the Department of Zoology, and Puja Kumari, cultural coordinator and assistant professor in the Department of Commerce.
