Patna: The SPIC MACAY Heritage Club of Patna Women’s College held its Inauguration-cum-Orientation Programme for registered students at the MVEIC Hall from 10.15 am to 12.00 pm. The event featured Mrinal Ranjan, a distinguished vocalist and District Art and Culture Officer from Lakhisarai, Bihar, as the resource person. The programme began with a lamp-lighting ceremony led by Sister Jincy, Superior of Avila Convent, along with Mrinal Ranjan, Sister Nelsa, CS Shweta Shah, and Mona Kumari, the club’s coordinator.

Mona Kumari welcomed the attendees and outlined the vision and activities of the Heritage Club. Mrinal Ranjan then engaged students with an insightful session on Hindustani Classical Music, emphasizing the Guru-Shishya Parampara. The interactive session was well-received, offering students a deeper understanding of classical music traditions.

The event was attended by faculty members, including Dr. Soofia Fatima, Dean and Head of the Department of Commerce, and Dr. Sumit Ranjan, Assistant Professor of Zoology. Soumya Vertika, a student of the English Department, moderated the session, which concluded with a vote of thanks by Shreshtha Narayan, a BBA student.
