Patna: A SpiceJet flight from Patna to Delhi experienced engine and air conditioning malfunctions on the runway at Patna airport late Wednesday night. About 170 passengers were aboard when the issues arose, leaving them stranded in the aircraft.
Due to the AC failure, passengers began to create a commotion, prompting the crew to transfer them to a bus. Tensions escalated, leading to heated arguments between passengers and airline staff. Engineers worked through the night to repair the plane’s engine and AC.
The flight, initially scheduled to depart at 9:10 pm on Wednesday, eventually took off at 5:10 am on Thursday. Compounding the delay, the incoming flight from Delhi, scheduled to land at Patna airport at 8:50 pm, was delayed due to bad weather and arrived at 1:15 am.
