Patna: St. Karen’s High School, Patna, hosted its annual career fair, IGNITE-24, on November 30, bringing together over 65 universities and colleges from across India. Among the prominent participants were Amity University, Ashoka University, Christ University (Delhi NCR), ICFAI University, Lovely Professional University, and Azim Premji University, along with many others. Each institution set up kiosks to provide students with career guidance and insights into academic opportunities.

The event was inaugurated by the chief guest, Colonel Rahul Sharma, Director of NIFT Patna, who emphasized the importance of such platforms in broadening students’ horizons. D.P. Galstaun, Director of St. Karen’s Group of Schools, encouraged students to make the most of the resources available to them and envision their futures in prestigious institutions.

Adding a creative dimension to the fair, competitions in slogan writing, caption writing, and caricature drawing were organized, showcasing the students’ artistic talents.

Students shared their enthusiasm about the event. Ujjaini, a Class 12 Humanities student, described the fair as a valuable experience that offered detailed insights into various universities, courses, and even financial options like education loans. Bhaskar Raj, from Class 12, appreciated the exposure to unconventional courses and the chance to learn directly from institutional representatives.

Commerce student Saket Gaurav highlighted the fair’s role in helping students explore career paths, interact with professionals, and understand internship and job opportunities. “It was a valuable experience that will guide my future decisions,” he said.

Science student Mansi Shukla noted how the fair inspired her ambition for a bright future, while her classmate Adarsh Verma appreciated the chance to connect with mentors who helped shape his career aspirations.
