Patna: Bollywood actor Suniel Shetty met Bihar Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary on Monday to discuss film production in the state and plans to develop Bihar as a film hub.
Shetty said his next film is expected to be shot in Bihar from October, with discussions underway for a 50-to-60-day shooting schedule in line with the state government’s new film policy.
Team To Scout Locations
Shetty said his film’s production team will visit Bihar next week to inspect potential shooting locations across the state.
The actor said the film’s title and other details would be announced once they are finalised.
Choudhary, who also holds the finance portfolio, has been seeking to attract filmmakers to Bihar and promote the state’s film industry.
According to Shetty, the chief minister was positive about the project and assured the production team of government support for filming in the state.
Focus On Jobs And Tourism
Choudhary said the growth of the film industry could contribute to employment, film production and tourism, while creating opportunities for other sectors linked to filmmaking.
The meeting also covered issues related to art, cinema and the development of Bihar as a destination for film production.
Choudhary later shared details of the meeting on X, describing the discussion as a pleasant and meaningful interaction.

Shetty Praises Bihar’s Locations
Speaking to the media after the meeting, Shetty said Bihar and Uttar Pradesh were important markets for the Hindi film industry and praised Bihar’s natural beauty and potential shooting locations.
He said film production in Bihar could also provide opportunities for local talent and help establish the state as a significant production destination.
Shetty also praised Bihar’s hospitality and said he had enjoyed the state’s traditional dish, litti-chokha.
The actor said he would also undertake film production in Bihar and expressed confidence that the state could develop into a major hub for the industry.
