Patna: The ICAR-Research Complex for Eastern Region (ICAR-RCER), Patna, began the Swachhta Hi Seva Abhiyan 2026 on September 17. The campaign, themed ‘Swachhta Mein Sahbhag, Swachh Bharat, Viksit Bharat’, will continue until October 2.
Cleanliness Pledge Administered
Dr Anup Das, Director of ICAR-RCER, administered the Swachhta pledge to the institute’s officers and employees at the campaign’s launch.
Das said cleanliness should be treated as a continuous process and incorporated into daily conduct and workplace practices. He also stressed collective participation in maintaining a clean and healthy work environment.
He urged employees to remain attentive to cleanliness in their surroundings and encourage others to adopt clean practices. He also called for active participation in activities planned under the campaign.
Activities Planned Until October 2
Heads of Divisions Dr Ashutosh Upadhyaya, Dr Kamal Sarma, Dr Sanjeev Kumar and Dr Ujjwal Kumar also shared their views on the importance of cleanliness.
They said maintaining a clean campus and healthy environment requires both individual responsibility and collective participation.
Dr Abhishek Kumar Dubey, Chairman of the Swachhta Committee, briefed participants about the activities and programmes planned at the institute and its centres until October 2.
According to Sh Umesh Kumar Mishra, Member Secretary, Media, ICAR-RCER, the activities will focus on raising awareness about cleanliness and encouraging wider participation in the campaign.
