Patna: The ongoing rift within the family of former Bihar chief minister Lalu Prasad Yadav has taken a public turn, with Tej Pratap Yadav voicing strong support for his sister, Rohini Acharya.
Rohini, who has unfollowed her entire family on social media, including her brother Tejashwi Yadav, and made her accounts private, has sparked a fresh wave of speculation about tensions within the family. Speaking in defence of his sister, Tej Pratap praised her actions, saying they represented “a significant act of courage for any mother, any sister, and any daughter” and added that she “will be remembered in history for having the courage to do what she did.”
He also affirmed the correctness of Rohini’s statements and issued a stern warning to anyone who might undermine her dignity: “If anyone insults my sister, I will wield the Sudarshan Chakra.”
The dispute reportedly centres on Rohini’s objections to Sanjay Yadav, an associate of Tejashwi Prasad Yadav. In recent weeks, Rohini had posted multiple messages on X (formerly Twitter) expressing her concerns and describing herself as a responsible daughter and sister. However, on Saturday morning, she made her account private, removing all previously visible posts.
