Patna: A fresh political controversy has erupted in Bihar after a complaint was filed against Tejashwi Yadav over the alleged circulation of a manipulated video on social media.
The complaint was lodged by Danish Rizwan, an adviser to Jitan Ram Manjhi, who has claimed that a video showing him was edited using artificial intelligence and shared to damage his public image.

Rizwan has described the video as part of a “well-planned conspiracy”, alleging that advanced AI tools were used to alter the footage. He has also named Mallikarjun Kharge, accusing opposition leaders of colluding in the alleged attempt to defame him — a claim that has further intensified the political row.

The controversy escalated after a video was shared from the official X handle of the Rashtriya Janata Dal. The clip appeared to show Rizwan firing a shot, prompting questions over law and order in the state.
The post targeted the ruling NDA government, triggering a sharp exchange between political rivals and fuelling debate across social media platforms.
Complaint filed and investigation underway
Rizwan has submitted a formal complaint to the cyber police in Bhojpur district via email, naming several political figures and demanding action. He has said he possesses evidence related to the case and intends to present it during the investigation.
Police officials in Bhojpur have begun examining the authenticity of the video, with the SDPO of Ara Sadar leading the inquiry. Investigators are focusing on technical analysis to determine whether the footage was altered and, if so, by whom.
Authorities said further action will depend on the findings of the forensic examination.
