Tejashwi Yadav to Lead 40 KM Road Show in Ramgarh for RJD Candidate Ahead of By-Election

Patna: Leader of the Opposition Tejashwi Yadav will rally support for Ajit Singh, the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) candidate for the Ramgarh assembly by-election, through a 40-kilometre road show on November 4. The event will stretch from Karmanasha to Panjrav. Ajit Singh, the brother of Buxar MP Sudhakar Singh and son of RJD State President Jagdanand Singh, joined the RJD after leaving the JDU ahead of the by-election.

Tejashwi is expected to arrive in Ramgarh on November 3 and will stay overnight for the road show the next day. Buxar MP Sudhakar Singh confirmed that the party is in a strong position for the by-election, which was called after his elevation to MP, leaving the Ramgarh seat vacant.

Competing with RJD’s Ajit Singh are Ashok Kumar Singh from the BJP, a former MLA from the Rajput community; Sunil Singh Kushwaha from Jan Suraj; and Satish Yadav, alias Pintu Yadav, from the BSP, who is the nephew of former MLA Ambika Yadav. Ramgarh remains a significant seat for the RJD, as Jagdanand Singh has previously represented it.

This by-election is critical, as the political influence of Jagdanand Singh and Sudhakar Singh is on the line. Tejashwi Yadav, who conducted over 250 road shows and public meetings during the Lok Sabha elections, is working to retain the RJD’s influence in Ramgarh.
