Begusarai: Union Minister of Textiles Giriraj Singh visited the Begusarai Extension Centre of NIFT Patna, where he distributed certificates to 30 Jeevika Didis who completed a three-day training program on “Quality Control.” The training covered identifying quality issues in fabrics, trims, stitching, and finishing, equipping the participants with essential skills.
The Didis shared positive feedback about the training and expressed enthusiasm for starting their own enterprises using the knowledge gained. The Minister encouraged DPM Jeevika, Avinash Kumar, to explore the possibility of establishing tailoring shops for the Didis, either at their residences or in a shared location, to help them apply their training effectively.
The certificate distribution ceremony was attended by Begusarai MLA Kundan Kumar, Director of NIFT Patna Col. Rahul Sharma, DPM Jeevika Avinash Kumar, and other state and central government officials. The event marked another step in empowering women through skill development and entrepreneurship.
