Chhapra / Patna : Two young men lost their lives in a tragic accident in Chhapra on Friday while filming a stunt video for social media. The incident occurred on a railway track near Chhapra Gramin and Golden Ganj, where the pair were reportedly creating a reel when they were struck by a passenger train travelling from Ballia to Pataliputra.
Eyewitnesses said the youths were so engrossed in filming the video that they failed to notice the oncoming train. Both died instantly. Their identities remain unknown as of the latest update.
The rise in accidents linked to social media content creation—especially among youth attempting dangerous stunts—has become a growing concern. Local police from Mufassil station reached the scene shortly after the incident, completing preliminary documentation before sending the bodies to Chhapra Sadar Hospital for postmortem.
“The bodies of two youths were found on the railway line. Both remain unidentified. Locals are being questioned, and postmortem procedures are underway,” said Manoj Kumar Prabhakar, officer-in-charge at Mufassil police station.
