Begusarai: The Indian Railways has implemented several changes to train operations, effective from New Year’s Day 2025. These changes primarily affect the timings of trains passing through Begusarai and Barauni junctions in Bihar, with adjustments made to arrival and departure times. Additionally, the frequency of some key services, including the Vande Bharat Express, has been increased.
Begusarai Station Timetable Adjustments
The 22233/22234 New Jalpaiguri-Patna Vande Bharat Express, which passes through Begusarai, will now operate on Tuesdays as well, increasing its frequency. The 22234 Patna-New Jalpaiguri Vande Bharat Express will now arrive at Begusarai station at 15:08 and depart at 15:10, a slight change from its previous schedule of arrival at 15:18.
Several other trains will also see changes in their timings at Begusarai, including the 12448 Anand Vihar Jogbani Seemanchal Express (arriving at 14:01 and departing at 14:03), the 12506 Anand Vihar-Kamakhya North East Express (arriving at 00:46 and departing at 00:48), and the 12519 Lokmanya Tilak Terminus Agartala AC Superfast Express (arriving at 13:01 and departing at 13:03).
Other trains with revised timings at Begusarai include the 12554 New Delhi-Saharsa Vaishali Superfast Express, the 13246 Rajendra Nagar-New Jalpaiguri Capital Express, the 13282 Rajendra Nagar-Dibrugarh Weekly Express, the 15090 Gomti Nagar-Godda Express, the 15228 Muzaffarpur-Bengaluru Express, and the 22914 Saharsa-Bandra Terminus Humsafar Express.
Barauni Junction Schedule Modifications
Significant changes have also been made to train schedules at Barauni Junction. The 12424 New Delhi-Dibrugarh Rajdhani Express will now arrive at 06:35 and depart at 06:45.
The 12488 Anand Vihar Jogbani Seemanchal Express will arrive at 13:35 and depart at 13:45. The 12506 North East Anand Vihar Kamakhya North East Express will arrive at 00:20 and depart at 00:30.
Other trains with altered timings at Barauni include the 12519 Lokmanya Tilak Terminal-Agartala Superfast Express, the 12546 Lokmanya Tilak Terminal-Raxaul Karmabhoomi Express, the 13032 Jaynagar-Howrah Express, the 13282 Rajendra Nagar-Dibrugarh Weekly Express, the 14038 New Delhi-Silchar North East Sampark Kranti, the 15078 Gomti Nagar Kamakhya Weekly Express, the 15090 Gomti Nagar-Godda Vikali Express, the 15097 Bhagalpur-Jammu Tawi Amarnath Express, the 15228 Muzaffarpur-Bengaluru Express, the 15279 Saharsa-Anand Vihar Terminal Purbiya Express, the 15280 Anand Vihar Terminal-Saharsa Eastern Express, the 15622 Anand Vihar Kamakhya Weekly Express, the 18420 Jaynagar-Puri Weekly Express, the 20506 New Delhi-Dibrugarh Rajdhani Express, and the 22450 New Delhi-Guwahati North East Sampark Kranti.
The Railways has implemented these timetable changes to improve passenger convenience. Passengers travelling to or through Begusarai and Barauni are advised to check the revised train timings before commencing their journeys.
