Patna: Passengers in Bihar have been advised to prepare for significant travel disruptions this winter as Eastern Railway announced the cancellation of multiple mail and express trains from December 2025 to February 2026, citing the risk posed by dense seasonal fog.
Railway officials said the move aims to ensure safe and smooth operations during a period when visibility typically drops sharply, causing delays and increasing the likelihood of accidents.
Rasaraj Moji, PRO of the Malda Division, said:
“Heavy fog during winter severely affects visibility, leading to delays and creating safety risks. To maintain safe, organised and uninterrupted operations, several mail and express services have been suspended temporarily.”
