Two-Day Workshop on Bioinformatics Begins at Bihar Agricultural University, Sabour

Bhagalpur: The Department of Bioinformatics, College of Agricultural Biotechnology, Bihar Agricultural University (BAU), Sabour, in collaboration with the Society for Plant Biochemistry and Biotechnology, New Delhi, is organizing a two-day workshop titled “Bioinformatics: Trends in the World of Omics” on December 30-31, 2024. The event aims to explore the latest advancements in the rapidly evolving field of bioinformatics, which bridges biology and computational science.

The workshop features keynote lectures from renowned bioinformatics experts, focusing on topics such as protein interactions, genome sequencing, and biological data analysis. A special address will be delivered by Dr. Ramesh Kumar Sander, Principal Scientist, ICAR, on the flagship D genome sequencing project, highlighting the integration of genomics in agricultural innovation.

Participants will also gain hands-on experience through practical training sessions on modern bioinformatics tools and techniques, including data analysis, genome processing, and biomolecular networks. These sessions aim to provide valuable insights into the practical applications of bioinformatics in various scientific domains.
