The arrested officers, identified as Firdaus Alam and Ranjit Kumar, were immediately suspended by Patna SSP Avkash Kumar.

The incident occurred near the gate of Loknayak Jayaprakash Narayan Hospital, where the two sub-inspectors were allegedly taking a bribe from a complainant, Tushar Kumar Pandey. Pandey, a resident of Bhojpur who currently lives in Jagdev Path, had approached the vigilance department after the officers demanded money to settle a financial dispute between him and another individual, Rahul Kumar.

As the exchange was about to take place, the vigilance team acted swiftly, catching the inspectors red-handed. The entire process unfolded within a minute of conversation. Initially, both officers were left stunned and confused, but as soon as the vigilance team revealed their identities, the inspectors’ faces reportedly turned pale.
