Patna: The three-day 323rd Urs-e-Qalandari concluded in Patna City with hundreds of devotees gathering at Khanqah Emadia Qalandariya, where ceremonies were held under the supervision of Hazrat Raees-ul-Mashaikh. The annual observance, rooted in Sufi tradition, drew murideen, aashiqeen and visitors from across the region.
Festivities opened with the customary chaadar poshi, followed by a brief but deeply resonant majlis-e-qaul-o-samaa. The khanqah was filled throughout the event with recitations, zikr and collective prayers seeking peace, unity and the well-being of the wider community.

Across the three days, the management organised spiritual assemblies, teachings on tasawwuf and sessions highlighting the Qalandari and Qadri orders. Arrangements for niyaz, langar and hospitality were carried out by volunteers, continuing the khanqah’s long-standing tradition of service.
Khwaja Emaduddin Qalandar, regarded as a seminal figure of the Qalandari–Qadri lineage, is remembered for his asceticism, devotion and emphasis on spiritual purification and service to humanity. The khanqah, established in his name, remains a centre for those seeking guidance in Sufi practice.

Organisers thanked attendees and volunteers whose efforts helped ensure the Urs was conducted smoothly and with reverence. The institution said the event’s success underscored its commitment to preserving Sufi heritage and fostering communal harmony.
